Content Editing

Whether your document is an early draft or in its final stages, I can trim the gristle. I specialize in cutting down the static, so what's really important is crystal clear.

I'll flag any plot issues (inconsistencies, redundancies, impossibilities), fix forced dialogue and balance your descriptions.

Think of it as feng shui for words.

Copy Editing

In this final stage of editing, I'll comb each line for syntax, grammar and consistency. Scrubbing for proper spelling, spacing, line breaks and more.

I'll offer suggestions for word choice and sentence structure and look for ways to boost your momentum. Proper copy editing is a necessary step that should never be overlooked.

Proofreading

A crucial last step before publishing, proofing should ideally be completed by a fresh set of eyes—someone who has not written, edited or even read the piece before. 

If brought on in the final stages of a project, I will go over the text with a fine-toothed comb—forward and backward—to ensure proper spelling, spacing, punctuation and capitalization.
